Not all couples will prefer a black-themed wedding. For some, it represents sadness. But for Miko & Kat, black is a happy color. Unconventional couple, it's now officially a thing. Miko (the groom) as a creative director visualise how these colors make a beautiful wedding with the help of their talented supplier. He wore an unconventional tuxedo matching his fedora hat. Kat (the bride) on the other hand, stand out with her beautiful classic white gown. They breakdown the components needed to truly design an aesthetically gorgeous though unconventional affair - from color selection to gown choice, any everything in between. I on the other hand, has to produce beautiful stills for this wonderful couple.

Louis & Carla met each other when they were still 11 and 12 years old. They were introduced by a common friend. A reason that until now, they don't understand. It was just a hi and hello moment.
They met again during their high school years, but it took a while before they start dating.
"I'ts hard to distinguish when does love really starts. Sometimes I think that your "anniversary date" exist just to make you "OFFICIALLY" together.
I realize that it's not a question of "When?" but "How?"
I always believe that there's always a reason why things happen. If Louis & Carla still doesn't understand why they were introduced at each other, I think I know why... IT WAS MEANT TO HAPPEN. That was the time LOVE officially started. That's "HOW" their love story started. Just like other fairy tale stories, it was their "Once upon a time" moment.
Louis & Carla has been together for 13 years till' they tied the knot. They grew together - physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. They even had a fair share of long distance relationship moments and witnessed each other's failures and successes. Most importantly, they shared each other's dreams and had started making them come true.
Years will pass that number of years being together is just practically a number. He will get old, She will get old, but when you look in each other's eyes, you will look at it the way you looked at them when you were young.

Love cannot be measured by how long you wait. Sometimes it is measured on how well you understand why you are waiting. There are relationship that don't last because of distance. They give up for the reason that they can't last the sadness they feel being apart. But for true love, distance is just a test how far love can travel. You'll never know where your relationship will go until you push yourself finding where it is going. Distance is just a test how far love can travel. Alfie and Elaine is just one of the couples that tested how far love can go. You'll only realize the success of each relationship is when no matter how pain hits you, the struggle, the fight you went through, the distance, the heartache, you'll find yourself in the end beside your love. saying each others vows, committing yourselves in front of God and realize, that the start of your life is like how fairy tale ends. "And they live happily ever after".

For several years that I've been doing weddings, there was a time that I asked myself, "Is it really for me?". Seeing my works in a slow progress.., I find my works "chopseuy". Though I don't have regrets. I'm happy with my works. But I want to see myself right there standing with the best of the best. That's the reason why I joined UNCOMPLICATE2016. I said to myself that this will be my "RESET BUTTON". Hoping to have an enlightenment with the workshop, I want UNCOMPLICATE to be the foundation of my future photography works. It was a tough call, but here I am now.
Im an avid fan of"the" Toto Villaruel. (Seriously! No joke!) Seeing his works, You can see and feel the timelessness of his photos. Very simple.. clean.. yet, you can feel the effort and love he render on his images. From the smallest detail to the couple portraits, You'll be in awe!
Then i discover "the" Marlon Capuyan from a friend. His works places simplicity in an irony that you'll ask yourself "Paano nya ginawa yon?" Until you try it yourself and say "Bakit hindi ko magawa?" That goes to my other reason why i joined UNCOMPLICATE2016, I want to know how they do it?
The best part of day 1 was the Lunch meal! Kidding aside, It was like a buffet of learnings. You ask, they'll answer. I went home "busog" literally. One of the things that stuck on my mind was how they discussed "Timeless" vs "Trend". I will not elaborate how they discussed it, coz' it will be unfair for us participants who paid for the workshop to share it to you for free. Wait for the uncomplicate2017! (hahaha!). Seriously speaking, It was a question on my mind that i want to see in the future. "How do i want to see my photos in the next maybe 10 - 15 years?"
You know the feeling that your hands are itching already to click your shutter because all you see are "beauty". A great place in Tagaytay, beautiful setup and details from the suppliers. Beautiful models and of course, the chance tosee Toto and Marlon how they move and shoot. It was kinda' "bitin" knowing that all the beautiful things and people to shoot were there and you want to take advantage of it. But lately realize that i was not shooting anymore, because all i really want is how Marlon & Toto shoot!
What I like was shooting under pressure. shooting on a limited time with sudden change of weather and light.
All in all, i love it! I went home with a smile! Gain new friends. Discovered new approach. It was all worth it!
Today, I'll step up to the field applying what I've learned. I'll go out with a mind set that "LESS is MORE". My reset button has initialized. Uncomplicate closed my 2016 and will start 2017 fresh.
Thank you very much Team Uncomplicate! Team V's, Toto and Nicolai Villaruel, Sir Marlon Capuyan.
To my classmates, happy shooting!
"LESS IS MORE!"
